Wendy Resnick was one of four women honored by the Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU on April 3 with its "Breaking the Glass Ceiling Award." The annual award celebrates the accomplishments of Jewish women in the state of Florida. It was established by the Jewish Museum in 1995 to recognize Jewish women in Florida who have broken the proverbial glass ceiling in professional fields that are normally dominated by men. Resnick served as executive director of United Cerebral Palsy of Sarasota/Manatee, Inc. for 28 years before her retirement in 2011. Resnick now serves on the board of directors of Community Haven for Adults and Children with Disabilities and is the vice chair of the City of Sarasota's Citizens with Disabilities Advisory Board.
