Nicole Vogel, founder of SagaCity Media, has been selected as one of Folio’s Top Women in Media honorees in the Entrepreneurs category. Vogel launched Portland Monthly in 2003 and has grown the company into a national media organization that now operates upwards of 80 publications coast to coast. In the past year alone, SagaCity, spearheaded by Vogel, acquired Gulf Shore Media, including Sarasota Magazine, 941 CEO and Venice Magazine. Also in the last year, she has launched Love Wins Texas, a wedding magazine dedicated to the LGBT community, and Gastronaut, a regional restaurant app. Folio Magazine is a top media industry publication, providing publishing professionals with news and best practices.
