Manatee County Commission Approves Map Change for Affordable Housing Complex

The Manatee County Commission voted Thursday to OK a change to the county's Future Land Use Map that is intended to help push forward a plan to convert a Bradenton property into an affordable housing complex with 240 studio apartments and 150 two-bedroom apartments. The project, planned by affordable housing developer Harvey Vengroff, is slated for a Knights Inn hotel property located at 2303 First St. E., Bradenton.
