Health Links recently designated State College of Florida as a Healthy Business Certified Leader. To become a certified leader, the college was required to provide evidence-based benchmarks for health and safety programs that reach all its employees. For example, more than 95 percent of employees participated in the college’s confidential health risk assessment program. Employees who participate can receive a discount on their insurance premiums. State College is just one of six certified health leaders in the county, joining Manatee County government, the Manatee County School District, Blake Medical Center, FCCI Insurance Group and Tidewell Hospice.
