The University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences and Sarasota County’s sustainability department are leading a free class on electric vehicles from 5 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22, at Selby Public Library, 1331 First St., Sarasota. The course will cover how various types of electric vehicles work, considerations for those interested in buying one, the charging infrastructure around Sarasota County and the benefits they provide.
