Total construction spending in America ticked up by 0.4 percent between April and May, according to new data published by the U.S. Census Bureau. The amount stood at over $1.3 billion in May, 4.5 percent higher than in May 2017. Residential construction spending rose by 0.8 percent between April and May, while non-residential construction spending rose by 0.1 percent.
