The Sarasota Young Professionals Group named Rachel Denton, the communications and voter outreach manager for the Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections, its 2018 Young Professional of the Year on Friday. The announcement was made at the organization's young professionals summit. Other finalists for the award included Ashley Light, development coordinator at Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee, and Kelly Romanoff, project manager for the Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation.
