On Friday, Jan. 10, the Sarasota County Council of Neighborhood Associations (CONA) will host Sean Sellers of the Suncoast Climate Justice Coalition. Sellers will present information about the Sierra Club campaign to catalyze a transition toward renewable energy. Called "Ready for 100%," the campaign has been adopted by the municipality of Sarasota, making the city among the first 100 cities and three states to make the sustainability commitment. Additionally, there will be a half-hour networking opportunity and updates about the conseveration easements being developed at the Celery Fields "quads" from Christine Johnson of the Conservation of the Gulf Coast. The meeting will be held at the Waldemere Firehouse, 2070 Waldemere St., from 6-7:30 p.m.
