Lakewood Ranch-based Halfacre Construction Company recently completed a waterproofing project for the historic Edson Keith Mansion at Phillippi Estate Park. The team followed strict guidelines to protect the 1,756-square-foot basement inside the mansion, waterproofing the basement walls, performing site drainage and grading, applying exterior paint, and installing new lighting, windows and dehumidification units in the basement. The total cost of the project was $291,000. Built in 1916, the 10,822-square-foot house was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in March 1991.
