CareerEdge is launching a first-of-its-kind training to help ensure Suncoast Technical College (STC) construction students gain hands-on experience: building a tiny home. Approximately 180 students across five plumbing, construction, HVAC, drafting and electrical trades program will work together to construct the tiny home on STC's campus.

The tiny home will be eco-friendly, with a rechargeable solar battery and composting toilet.  Upon completion, the tiny home will become a rolling promotional center for Sarasota-area students in  grades K-12 students and their families. Activities inside the home will provide students and families with information on skilled trades education and career opportunities.
