The Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections reminding residents of the City of Venice and Town of Longboat Key that the last day to register to be eligible to vote in their respective Nov. 2 elections is Monday, Oct. 4.

Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner recommends that voters check their voter eligibility and confirm that their voter registration information is current before the Oct. 4 deadline. To do so, go to sarasotavotes.gov and click on the “My Voter Status” link to confirm voter status or to update records.

New paper voter registration applications must be completed, signed, and returned in person to an elections office or postmarked by October 4. Applications submitted electronically through RegistertoVoteFlorida.gov no later than 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 4 will also be accepted.

Applications are available at all three elections offices in Sarasota, Venice and North Port; at public libraries, military recruitment offices, and public assistance offices, and may be downloaded at SarasotaVotes.gov. Voter registration applications may also be submitted through any tax collector’s office that issues Florida driver licenses or Florida ID cards. For more information or assistance, voters may call the supervisor of elections office at (941) 861-8619 or visit the supervisor of elections website.
