Students from Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte and DeSoto counties that are under the age of 24 are being encouraged to apply for more than 70 scholarships offered through the Community Foundation of Sarasota County by Tuesday, Feb. 15. The scholarship range from $500 to $25,000 in financial support for the upcoming academic year.

Students must be pursuing or planning to pursue further education at an accredited university, community college, technical school or certification program. Applicants must also be a current resident, graduating high school senior or graduate of high school located within Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte or DeSoto county.
