Gulf Coast Community Foundation will host a workshop called "Getting to the Point: Communicating with Brevity & Impact in Any Situation" with Joan Lowery on Thursday, March 24. The workshop is for individuals actively affiliated with an area nonprofit organization, and is presented through Gulf Coast Community Foundation’s Invest in Incredible initiative. This interactive seminar aims to inspire leaders to become more engaging, effective, empathic, to-the-point communicators. Through discussion and the analysis of entertaining positive and negative video vignettes depicting relevant and sometimes difficult conversations, attendees are challenged to become more effective and customer-focused in their communications. Participants will learn two core techniques to enable them to get to the point clearly and concisely.

The morning-long workshop (8:00 a.m. breakfast; 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. presentation) costs $35, which includes breakfast, and will take place at Gulf Coast Community Foundation’s headquarters in Venice. Reservations are required to attend. For more information and to register, click here.
