Dr. Mark S. Pritchett, president and CEO of Gulf Coast Community Foundation, has announced his plans to retire in 2023.

Pritchett joined Gulf Coast in 2008 as vice-president of community investment and was promoted to president and CEO in 2015.

“My work at Gulf Coast has been some of the most rewarding of my lifetime,” Pritchett says. “I am so proud of our accomplishments achieved by our spirited board, our talented team, our generous donors, and our dedicated community partners.”

Under Pritchett's leadership, Gulf Coast has been recognized nationally as a top 25 “best place to work” three times under Pritchett’s leadership. The foundation has seen growth of nearly $360 million in new gifts since he became CEO in 2015, and grants to nonprofits increased by over $300 million.

Former board chair Pauline Wamsler has appointed a CEO search committee, and Pritchett will stay on at the foundation until the selection process and transition are complete.
