The Wiz-themed evening at the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium featured not only dinner, entertainment and a live auction but the official kickoff to a $6 million capital campaign to expand and improve the theater's two-building site. The campaign total has already reached $2.7 million, thanks to a $1 million gift from Gerri Aaron and support from WBTT board members and others.
