Sarasota Memorial Hospital's Emergency Care Center recently won a Lantern Award from the Emergency Nurses Association. The hospital is one out of just 19 emergency departments in the country to win the award this year, and the only hospital in Florida to be recognized. The award recognizes emergency departments that demonstrate excellent practices and innovative performance in leadership, education, advocacy and research.
