CareerEdge Funders Collaborative Receives $71,000 Grant

Plus, the Sarasota Alliance for Historic Preservation receives $30,000 in grants, and more.

CareerEdge Funders Collaborative has announced it received a $71,000 grant from Truist Foundation to assist the skills and earning capacity of its community members by providing them with an opportunity to obtain the necessary training and credentialing so that they can enter the workforce successfully.

The Sarasota Alliance for Historic Preservation  recently received two grants from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County: a $20,000 grant issued from the Community Foundation’s Edward K. Roberts Emerging Needs Fund, the Two-Generation Approach Fund and the Affordable/Transitional Housing Fund, and a $10,000 grant, also issued from the Community Foundation’s Edward K Roberts Emerging Needs Fund. 

The Olga Lee Fund for Global Conservation and Women Entrepreneurship at Gulf Coast Community Foundation recently awarded a $10,000 grant to Sarasota Audubon Society in support of the ongoing Celery Fields Explorers, an environmental education program for Sarasota students.

 Neal Communities recently donated $5,000 as a gold sponsor of The Manatee County Fair. 

Resilient Retreat has received a donation of $2,500 from Music Heals: The David J. Keyes Memorial Foundation to support music based programs. Along with the funds, Resilient Retreat received a 12-string guitar from Marilyn Keyes in honor of her late husband, David Keyes.
