The exhibit represents a diversity of perspectives on labor, from the belief that it is a manifestation of industrial progress to the concern that it exploits society’s most vulnerable people.
In 1969, thieves made off with 15 of Ben Stahl’s most famous paintings. The heist ruined him financially and left behind a mystery that has never been solved.
“Clearly, more and more people are searching for the creativity and inspiration that is represented in our exhibit," said executive director Sarah Wertheimer.
